It was perfect. The strip of bark was thick, almost as thick as rabbit's bone, and it was wide enough to fit three cats, at least. Flintfang grunted and squeaked as he pushed the piece of bark--a cat wasn't exactly built to haul things here and there after all.
Once he reached the river bank, he flopped on the thing, panting. It was a clear day, and lucky for the young warrior, he'd hunted enough land critters to last the afternoon. Riverclan could use the variety in their diets. Fish, fish, fish tends to be monotonous. And... well... fishy.
Lucky for him he was a drypaw. And he specialised in land prey--especially squirrels. Oh those succulent, fuzzy...
Oh wait. Sidetracked a bit there. Anyway.
Flintfang grinned. The river was clear, sparkling in the sunlight like dozens of jewels were hiding underneath. Flintfang pushed the bark onto the water and hopped on, claws digging into the bark to help balance himself. Flintfang quickly clenched his eyes shut. The makeshift boat swayed, bouncing and dipping into the river as it flowed with the current. The bumpy motion was seriously threatening to make Flintfang throw up his breakfast, like all his gizzards were being jumbled up. He managed to keep it in though.
The plush-furred tom slowly opened an eye.
Holy Starclan.
"I'm FLOATING on a BOAT!" He yelled, ears perked, tail quivering with excitement as he floated away.
ooc: ... Uh. He's on a 'boat.' Because he can't swim well.

Shadepool sat at the bank watching a salmon as it swam closer, she just needed it to come a little closer and she could get it, just a little closer,.. she watched as the fish swam in reach, just as she was about to grab it she heard a voice call out "I'm Floating On a Boat!" she heard a cat yell as her fish darted away "mouse-dung!" she yelled and looked up from where she was at and saw a recognizable warrior floating on a boat "flightfang?" she said recognizing the warriors golden-red tabby pelt. "what are you doing?" she called out to him from the bank and let out a small laugh "why are you on a,.. boat?"she asked recalling the word 'boat'.
She watched as the boat flowed down the river, she followed it along the bank, still keeping her eye on the 'boat' and flightfang, her sleek black pelt moving easily along the bank glistening in the sunlight.

Flintfang perked up his ears at the sound of a familiar voice.
Flightfang? Who...?
Oh wait.
Flintfang let out a laugh. "Flintfang, Miss Shadepool!" He mewed. He couldn't blame her though, he was always on his own little escapades that he hardly mingled around with the other Riverclanners! Tsk tsk.
"And aye, aye, ma'am! On a boat I am!" He mewed over to the she-cat on the riverbank. "I'm thinking of calling it the Huge. Wait--no, no! This thing is bigger than huge... It's, it's... Titanic! Yeah! The Titanic!"

shadepool watched carefully and let out another small laugh watching him and the 'titanic' "so your calling it the Titanic?" she said watching the big boat/raft float along, for her it was pretty easy to stay alongside the river bank and follow Flightfang and the Titanic
she watched but soon realized the bushes ahead, she let out a small grunt "i hate bushes" she murmured and plundged into the cold water, she resurfaced and gasped breathing in more air, plundging into the water had made her breathless, she swam along the bank now still watching flightfang and the titanic, she swam easily through the water only the black fur on her back shimmering in the water, she lifted her head high from the water as a small wave came by. it raised the water to her neck for a moment but then the water came back down to her shoulders as it was before, shadepool then returned her gaze to fightfang and the titanic, her gaze thick with amusement.

"Ain't it a cool name? I hereby declare this water-monster unsinkable!" He mewed, watching as the she-cat slipped into the water effortlessly. Lucky. He couldn't. It's not that he didn't like water--he did! It's super important to drink water to live! But he couldn't take the ickiness of water when it came into contact with his fur.
All this monologuing about water was making him thirsty. Flintfang crept to the edge of the boat slowly, to avoid any sudden swaying. Bending over, he took a few lapfuls of water with his pink tongue.
He was suddenly assailed by a totally sudden thought!
"Do fish pee?" He mewed, wide eyed and staring in the water.

shadepool swam close to the titanic so she could talk to flightfang easily "ya! cool name indead, how did you come up with it?" she asked curiously and gazed at the big boat that he was floating on, she smiled and gazed at him for a moment before returning her gaze to the path ahead "how do you steer it?" she asked curiously wondering how he would stop it and then place it on the bank, "Do fish pee?" shadepool heard flightfang asked, she nearly burst out laughing because of the question "no" she said sarcastically looking at him, her eyes filled with amusement, she smiled "yes fish do pee" she said simply and watched him wondering how he would react to this 'new thing' he found out

Flintfang let out a loud gasp. "Our water... MUST BE FISH PEE. Have you ever wondered where all this water in the river came from?! THAT MUST BE THE ONLY ANSWER."
Flintfang twitched. All these moons, Riverclan warriors have been swimming and living beside a pool of fish pee! THE HORROR. All the fish they've eaten--they were contaminated as well! OH NO.
Flintfang screwed his nose and tried to force himself from gagging at the horrendous thought.

"Water comes from the sky as rain," Ripplewave meowed walking out of the bushes and sighed. 'Speaking of rain, I hope it rains soon,' she thought gazing at the sun, her eyes watering from the harsh glare of the sun. It was to hot and ran would cool everything down, this greenleaf felt like the hottest one that had ever had. She sighed again thinking about her mate who had died a little bit before last greenleaf, his on brother had killed him out of jealously.

Flintfang turned towards Ripplewave and blinked. "Oohh." He mewed. "Well thank Starclan! Our water's not pee!"
Flintfang sat down on the boat, curling his tail around his paws, green eyes trained towards the floating clouds above, slowly drifting and following the current.
Ripplewave's second sigh made Flintfang snap out of his momentary awe of the fluffy clouds. "You look glum, chum. What's up?" He asked the she-cat on the bank.

"You look glum, whats up?"
Ripplewave snapped out of her thoughts hearing Flintfangs question. "I was just thinking about Stormheart," she meowed. Every one knew about Darkstorm, Dark now, and how he killed his own brother, because she hadn't choosen him as her mate. Sometimes she wished Dark was dead, he had caused her so much pain just because of jealously.

Ouch... Suddenly, Flintfang regretted asking. Honestly, what could you say to someone who had their mate murdered by a vengeful brother?
Flintfang thought for a moment. Hmm. Aha!
"Gimme a second Miss Ripplewave!" He mewed. Flintfang then stared intently into the water, eyes searching for any sign of movement beneath the blue surface.

Ripplewave nodded scannning the bushes on the thunderclan side. She was glad that she had been born into Riverclan, and that it was greenleaf. Her least favorite season was leafbare, because the river would freeze, and they would be forest to hunt birds.

A figure slithered under the water. Flintfang's paw immediately shot out, water droplets splashing into the air as he tried to snag his claws on the fish. He caught nothing.
"Aw mousetails!" Flintfang stomped his paws onto the boat, pouting. The boat immediately tilted, and Flintfang slipped off and into the cold river, the blue swallowing him and engulfing him completely. Panicking, he kicked his paws in a futile attempt to swim. He can't! Not well, anyway! And certainly not when he was panicking! Flintfang was a drypaw, after all.
He thrashed his limbs underwater, his lungs burning for oxygen.
Help!

Ripplewave dove in and swam towards him, "Swimming is like running," she told him as she swam closer. She reached him and stopped beside him. "Pretend like your ruuning across the territory, and you'll be swimming in no time," she meowed.

The young warrior could hear the she-cat considering he was underwater, but he tried to imitate the pawing motion of the she-cat.
Left, right. Left, right. Left, right.
He burst from under the surface, gasping deeply for air. He ungracefully made his way to the bank, flopping and shivering in his pelt, which was now clinging pitifully on his lithe physique. He inhaled deeply for the next few moments before hauling himself up to a sit.
"Sorry--cough!--Miss Ripplewave!" He mewed to the older warrior. "My mama always said whenever you're feelin' sad, a full stomach will make you glad! Fishing's definitely not my forte. I'll stick to squirrels."
