Ripplewave wondered away from her clan mates and sighed not paying attention to where she was going and almost ran into Rabbitfoot. "Oh sorry I wasn't paying attention to where I was going," she mumbled shifting from her weight. Unlike her clan mates she was pretty skinny, but that was probably from under eating, she was also on the smaller side she was only a few inches taller than the windclan warrior. She hadn't even wanted to come to the gathering, the only reason she had come was because her son was going to be named as the medicine cat apprentice, but her heart still ached for her mate, and she didn't ever really have a big appetite and she was restless in her sleep.

Flintfang staggered into the clearing, squeaking. Protruding from his hindquarters was a whole bunch of long, thin porcupine quills.
"I'm not late am I?" He mewed, his voice a couple of octaves higher than normal. It was painfully obvious he was trying to keep a straight grin and trying to ignore the stabbing pain in his butt. "Wooo! Gathering!"
He attempted to crawl his way near the front, wincing with each step he took. That proved to be painful as heck, so he decided to flop on the ground next to a small wavy furred guy, and another dude with a lame foot. Flintfang didn't know either of them. Awesome! New friendship opportunities!
"Hiya!" He mewed to Nearpaw and Wolfheart, grinning widely. "Name's Flintfang! Long for Flint, longer for Fff!"

"Welcome Galestar, Icestar," she nodded to the two leaders, picking up a glint of hostility in both of their glances. She had heard about the invasion on WindClan. What resources could ShadowClan possibly need in the beginning of Green-Leaf? The hot temperatures were threatening enough to all the clans and poor WindClan was stuck without the shading of a few trees. Even though RiverClan was also hilly and open, there were still a few trees to lay under, as well as swim in the water to cool off.
The fluffy she-cat took a seat in between Galestar and Icestar, watching as cats mingled as well as topple over each other. A purr rose from her throat, reminding her to stay positive. It was the least she could do to protect the truce by separating the two.
"How's ShadowClan, Icestar? I hope they're doing well," she started, hoping for at least a nod if the leader didn't want to speak. Her paws shifted a little as she sat tall, trying to look a little big bigger than her small size. Her long, fluffy tail wrapped around her paws as she took an elegant pose, keeping her posture formal and inviting.

Snowstar Snowstar gave a purr of greeting to Galestar. They were old friends, and even if they were in enemy clans she would do alot for the other she-cat. Her blue eyes observed every cat in the clearing, her ears pricked forward slightly. Gatherings were always interesting. She could see how every cat was doing for herself, as well as hearing other leaders' reports on the clan. She shook her soft white fur, sitting tall, although she wasn't intimidated by the other leaders, she knew she was small and used it to the best. Snowstar dipped her head to the rest of the leaders, scanning out the deputies as well. ThunderClan's was close by. Suncloud An energetic orange she-cat bounded into the large clearing. Her leaf green eyes sparkled as she paused to take in the rest of the cats mingling with eachother. Suncloud was very friendly. She didn't have enemies, unless of course against a whole different clan threatening hers. Rasping a tongue over her chest fur, she instantly tried finding a certain ThunderClan warrior. His dark tabby pelt must be somewhere the young WindClan warrior thought furiously,Nightsong Like a shadow, Nightsong slipped down to where the other cats were together. She was an independent cat, not one to go up to a group of warriors and start talking. Her piercing blue eyes saught out a peaceful spot, with no cats mulling around it. She hurried over there, sitting down silently and wrapping her tail around her paws. She was pure black, but the moonlight made her silver. She didn't make eye contact with any cat, she just settled on grooming herself, and glancing up at the Greatrock. Thornflight A huge dark gray tom pounded into the ravine, right after Snowstar. He watched with interest as the rest of the clans showed up one by one as well. Thornflight was a big cat, but he was in ThunderClan so it wasn't not normal. His yellow/green eyes stayed neutral as they flitted around the many cats entering. He wasn't big for talk, or emotions. But that didn't mean he was unfriendly, he was just trying to find a group of cats he thought he should talk to.

"Oh Shadowclan is fine," Icestar meowed her memories still racing through her mind, she didn't care about what had happened before she was leader, but no one knew about the former deputy, and how he had killed the former leader, she had, had him discovered, and the clan had chosen her as their leader for discovering the former deputies evil plot. She blinked she had never really cared about over clans affairs, so she didn't have any disdain towards Galestar.

Bliss'star nodded to Icestar, thankful to get a reply. She shifted her paws once more, a bit nervous about tonight. She hoped she introduced RiverClan well. She swiped her paw over her forehead again before turning to Galestar and Snowstar, giving them a welcoming smile along with a silent nod of greeting. She wasn't much for words.

Amberpaw blinked, watching with wonder sparking excitedly in her eyes. Where would she start? Who would she talk to? The social apprentice now felt a little intimidated and small, as if she was back in the nursery. Did she really belong among all these warriors? She spotted a strange cat speaking to her clan mate, Nearpaw. He seemed excited, like he was used to seeing so many cats. Would she ever feel that free?

Frozenpaw walked slowly into the clearing, keeping his eyes fixed on everything. I never knew we had so many cats around us, he thought, pelts of all colors, textures, and patterns seemed to move quickly around him, making him feel a little bit dizzy. The ShadowClan tom ducked a little, taking a seat in the ShadowClan section.

Tidalrage kept up in the treetops. He had been roaming around clan territory for a while, but he always made sure he could listen to his sister. The tom could easily pull it off--there were to many scents, and he smelt like an odd mixture of all of them. He took a seat in the shadows of the canopy, letting his eyes wander as he watched cats of all kind swarm in and buzz around like bees.

"It's great in my clan." Skystorm purred to Tailchaser. Suddenly, as Flintfang staggered in, Skystorm's eyes became large with worry, and she hurriedly said, "I'm actually the WindClan medicine cat... Let me see if that RiverClan warrior is alright." Lazily flicking her tail back and forth, the she-cat walked up to the warrior.
"Erm... Are you alright? Would you like me to... Take those out?" Skystorm asked awkwardly. Wasn't he that warrior who had rode in a 'boat' a while back? It had caused some of WindClan's watermint to get destroyed... While he was on RiverClan territory.

Tailchaser nodded looking for another person to talk to she saw no one and flicked her ears. She continued to look around then noticed Shadowstalker and walked over, ""Hello, how is Shadowclan?" Tailchaser asked the Shadowclan warrior politely.

Wolfheart spun his attention from the ThunderClan apprentice beneath the ferns to the smaller, tiny one that suddenly bumped into his good shoulder. His balance nearly tossed itself to the ground but he shuffled his paws awkwardly, regaining his footing with something that was a little less than 'ease.' The bulkier medicine cat turned his eyes curiously upon Nearpaw, ears pointing up in surprise at the solitariness of the blind tom. Where was Oakpelt? Didn't he usually guide Nearpaw around, like on the journey to Mothermouth?
"Uh, it's Wolfheart--" was all he managed to stutter out before Flintfang's presence made itself known. Along with an entire backside of porcupine quills and where did he get porcupine quills on the way to a gathering?
What little medicine cat instincts he had blossomed into action and he quickly maneuvered to face the smiley RiverClan warrior. He's awfully glad for a cat impaled on quills, he thought briefly. Nearpaw's medicine cat status suddenly reminded his brain. Wolfheart glanced over his shoulder and swept the tip of his tail over the wavy-furred tom's cheek, lowering his voice into a pitch much more audible than his quiet mew. "Care to lend a paw?" Another herbal scent hit his scent glands as he spoke, eyes darting away to spot Skystorm heading over and questioning Flintfang as well. He hobbled the few pawsteps to the "certified" medicine cat's side, raising his brow at the number of quills before their eyes. "What kind of hill did you tumble down to get this many quills?" A laugh snuck its way into the gray tom's meow, an amused twitch turning the corners of his maw.

Nearpaw blinked, trying to remember what status Wolfheart had. He was an apprentice right? Despite his Warrior name, that is? Which didn't really bother Nearpaw much--cats never really do stop becoming apprentices. They just get a name change. But the learning journey never stops.
A joyous greeting by Flintfang followed by the worried mew of a she-cat made Nearpaw confused. Da heck was going on? Then Wolfheart questioned about... Quills?
"Quills? Someone care to tell a blind cat what in the dark forest is going on?" Nearpaw asked, ears flicking slightly backwards. He hated it when he had no idea what's going on, despite it being right in front of his eyes.
Calm yourself, Nearpaw. Nearpaw took in a deep breath and analyzed the situation. Okay. This she-cat, who must be a medicine cat considering her smell was offering to pull something out of someone. Wolfheart was questioning said someone about how he acquired so much quills. By process of elimination, Flintfang had to be the one with quills.
Nearpaw paused. Huh. That might actually make sense.

Flintfang glanced at his rear. "Oh this?" He mewed. "I was walking along the path to Fourtrees with the rest... When I saw this hole in the ground. So I was checking it out when this porcupine started chasing me off. Violently." Flintfang shuddered at the memory of the angry squeaking porcupine charging at him. "It was scary, I tell you!" The striped tom had been lying down the whole time, limbs sprawled out like a rug of some sort. Sitting was impossible without driving the quills even more in his butt. "You'd really help me?" He mewed, grinning cheerfully, ears perked up. Ooc: Watch me make Nearpaw and Flintfang interact. > and I hereby declare the meddies the right to put this cheery tom under quill-pulling agony. C:

Rabbitfoot closed his eyes for a moment, flattening his ears. Silently, he took a deep breath, but regretted it, almost choking on the scent. Okay, so maybe he was exaggerating a bit; the smell wasn't that bad. Smirking, Rabbitfoot opened his eyes only to see a tall she-cat coming at him. He braced himself for impact and the fur along his spine stuck up, but he instinctively jumped back, his foot getting caught in the stray fern behind him. Grumbling under his breath, he untangle himself and turned to face the cat.
"What's the big -" He immediately cut himself off to let the she-cat speak, though. Flattening his fur, Rabbitfoot looked away from Ripplewave, but perked his ears to hear her explanation. He could tell right away that this was a Riverclan cat by the fresh smell of fish and river - if you could even call 'river' a smell - and looked up, blinking dark amber eyes.
I-it's fine," he stammered, looking down, shyness coming over him. "S'not like I was hurt or anything." he mumbled in a soft voice. Okay, along with thunderstorms, talking to other clan cats wasn't exactly his specialty. . .especially if - Rabbitfoot looked up, scanning the she-cat - especially if you didn't know her name. "I'm s-sorry; what's your n-name again?" he asked softly, gaining enough courage to look her in the eye. Or, at least, look at her close to her eyes.

Skystorm bit deep into a quill, and slowly began weaving it out, before, with a sharp crack, the quill came out swiftly, broken at Skystorm's paws and probably causing Flintfang some pain. Then, she grabbed a few blades of grass, and tricked some of the sap in. It wouldn't stop infection much, but it would help soothe the wound's pain, usually after a sharp sting.
Taking out another quill, Skystorm broke it in half again and crushed grass on it, taking that half in her teeth and rubbing it on the wound, a very similar technique that could be used instead of trickling it in. Leaping up in a tree, the WindClan cat began applying a thick layer of cobwebs, leaving the other porcupine quills to the apprentices. They'd need to learn how to treat this.

IvyscarI'm like a rookie paramedic to a siren.
Doctor © Cute Is What We Aim For
So soon already was Ivyscar forced to attend another gathering. She honestly did not want to go, but she knew that it was part of her duties. Grumbling something to herself, the Shadowclan medicine cat made her way to the front of the clearing, sitting below her leader like a good little medicine cat.
It was like this every time.
Silent.
Since Ivyscar had made a name for herself, she really had no one to speak with. Wolfheart was probably off doing something or other, and she really didn't interact with anyone else. And as much as Ivyscar really did despise most other cats, deep inside she wanted someone to push past her outer layers and get to know her.
But, alas, she had chosen her life as a medicine cat. She was to be alone in that sense. At first, it hadn't bothered Ivyscar in the least bit. But now, as she was growing older, and as those her age were starting to raise families of their own, the she-cat felt regret. Though she was quick to throw those feelings out of the window. Her clan needed her, as did her apprentice, she figured.
Ah, the problems of a medicine cat.

Well, it wasn't like she was late or anything. Russettail just really enjoyed the rush of running as fast as she could to catch up with her clan.
Skidding to a stop near the entrance to the gathering, the Thunderclan she-cat gave herself a quick cleaning and attempted to calm her heart down. After a few moments, she trotted into the clearing and scanned the area.
In Russettail's eyes, the gathering was a place to make new friends. So why not take her chances and do that very thing? But as she looked around, Russettail decided that she wasn't ready for that just yet. Instead, she spotted a warrior from her clan - Thornflight, she believed his name to be. The she-cat was never good with names, so she just prayed to Starclan and hoped that she wouldn't make a complete fool of herself in front of her own clanmate.
"Hey, Thornflight," she meowed. Well, it was worth a try to get to know the quiet tom.
