Character name: Dustnose
Former names (if any): Dustkit, Dustpaw
Future names (if any): N/A
Clan: ShadowClan
Age (in moons, be reasonable): 22 moons
Gender: BOY (tomcat)
Rank within the clan: Warrior
Looks (in 4+ sentences): His pelt consists of a heather gray streaked with black. The fur is generally untidy, unkempt, long, and matted due to lack of care. It covers his claws, which are ragged and of many lengths because of his habit of biting them. His nose is wide and thanks to his attraction to sleeping, is often covered with dust (hence the name, Dustnose)
Personality (in 4+ sentences): The perfect word to describe Dustnose would be lazy. Dustnose's primary goal in life is to find shady trees, lay down beneath them, and take a nice nap. He suffers from insomnia--he stays up late into the night and simply watches the moon and stars--and tries his hardest to sleep during the day, often incurring the wrath of the higher-ups for his lack of contribution to the Clan. He gets grouchy when others wake him.
History (4+ sentence for each rank) As a kit, he was given the prefix-name-part "dust" because of his gray fur. He was the most boring of kits and hardly ever moved. He slept through the sickness and eventually, death, of his brother, regardless of how he tossed and turned in his demise. But he was awake for his sister's death. His runt sister--Nightkit--during her first time eating real meat, from the fresh-kill pile, happened to eat rotten stuff. She threw it all up in the middle of the night and choked on it, convulsing and throwing fits of suffocation as he watched, horrified, yet too groggy to try and help. The trauma he suffered from watching this method of death, to which any cat was susceptible, take his only sister, manifests itself in his insomnia. He can't sleep at night for fear of nightmares.
His apprenticehood was marred by those nightmares of his sister. He was never good in combat training or hunting, simply because he was constantly exhausted from sleep deprivation. He had a strong nose, and could pick up scents immediately, but his reflexes and his movements were always the slowest. It took him a few extra moons to become a warrior. Since he always tried to sleep during the day and ditch his apprentice duties, dust fell on his nose for all to see, paving a clear choice for his warrior name, Dustnose.
Dustnose's warrior life was simple. He slept and slept the day away, hoping to avoid the nightmares that plagued him if he tried to sleep at night. He ate just enough to survive and only hunted when he was forced. Very quickly, he grew accustomed to being reprimanded by the deputy and the leader for not pulling his weight. Dustnose decided that someday, he would receive inspiration to do something with his life.
Family (optional):
Nightkit--sister (deceased)
Mosskit--brother (deceased)
Grassshadow--mother (deceased)
Graypelt--father (deserted the Clan after the death of his family and the failure of his last son as a cat of the Clan; was likely killed by badgers a little ways away from the outer boundaries of ShadowClan)
Other accounts: Nada.
Friends (optional): In time.
