There was nothing better than sleeping in Dustnose's eyes.
It was the middle of the day, and Dustnose was exhausted. Not that he'd done anything...but he hadn't slept well the previous night, as usual.
He left the camp like he was about to go hunting, but once out of sight, he skulked away to his favorite hiding spot, an old, uninhabited fox den in a hole beneath a tree. Blackberry bushes surrounded the tree, masking his scent as well as hiding the entrance to the den. The only way someone would find him is if they wanted to eat some blackberries, which were currently unripe and sour.
He curled up in his solitude and drifted into a meaningless nap, comfortable in the notion that no deputy, no leader would likely find him and reprimand him for his laziness.

IvyscarI'm like a rookie paramedic to a siren.
Doctor © Cute Is What We Aim For
What really sucked about being a medicine cat was collecting herbs. Especially when there were much better things to be doing.
But, seeing as she was supposed to be at least a decent role model for her apprentice, Ivyscar pushed past her laziness and went out to collect some herbs that she was a little low on. That, and also cobwebs.
The day was young and also beautiful, which only added to the she-cat's annoyance. She didn't want to be outside, digging around in countless areas, when she could be relaxing in her den, all warm and quiet.
"At least it's not raining," Ivyscar grumbled, heading in no particular direction.
The hardest thing to find in the dark, she figured, was cobwebs. So those were the first on her list. Old dens usually had plenty of them, and there always seemed to be plenty of those around.
"Now where to find a good den . . ."
The older she-cat started to push through bushes, trying to find a den. She crawled through a couple of bushes before coming across a peculiar blackberry bush. Even though the berries were clearly unripe, Ivyscar felt the need to try one. In the process, however, the medicine cat stumbled on a vine, which knocked her over. After falling, she opened her eyes and noticed an old den.
Success.

If there was anything that Dustnose hated more than being disturbed from a quality nap, it was when he was being disturbed by an influential cat in the clan. And yet here was ShadowClan's grouchy medicine cat tumbling by his favorite hiding spot.
Dustnose woke up to an herb-y, musty scent drifting down into the den, sailing along the breeze with the odor of unripe blackberries...the lack of harmony between the scents alarmed Dustnose and that's when he realized it was Ivyscar, that darned medicine cat. She was inches from the entrance, and if she only crawled forward half a foot, she would clearly be able to smell Dustnose.
Thinking fast, Dustnose looked around the den for anything that could hide him. He reached into the far corners of the den and swiped up some cobwebs and covered himself with them, hoping beyond hope that his gray fur would blend in with the black shadows of the enclosed den and the white of the cobwebs.
Something didn't feel right about smearing the cobwebs around his face...the connection between cobwebs in a den and medicine cat in the forest, next to a den--the connection that meant that maybe the medicine cat was looking for such cobwebs...was a connection that Dustnose did not make.
But he had a sinking feeling that he would soon be engaging in a conversation that he would not enjoy.
--ooc: don't even worry, compadre, it's more than enough--
