The sun shone brightly down onto RiverClan camp, causing heat to float around among the cats. There was no breeze in the air, meaning cooling down via the wind wasn't an option. Suddenly, the reeds started to rustle. Through the camp entrance slipped a lean silver she-cat, a fish clamped firmly in her jaws. Drooping ears, dragging tail, dripping fur; it was obvious that Silvermist had noticed the heat and went for a dip in the river. Padding over to the Fresh Kill pile, she dropped her prey and retreated to the Warriors' den. Slipping into the tangle of reeds, she curled up in a shady area and looked at the clearing outside.

Almost like a shadow, Nightsong slipped into the warrior's den. Her black pelt drew the heat of the sun towards her, feeling as if she was burning up everytime she left the shade of her den. Her blue gaze flashed over to see Silvermist curled up. Being a usually independent cat, the black she-cat wasn't one to offer long conversations. But why be rude, when there was another clanmate that was available to befriend.
Sitting in her own nest, not far away from Silvermist, Nightsong groomed her chest quickly, before quivering her whiskers and returning her piercing gaze to the silver she-cat. "It's hot out, isn't it?" she mewed,

"No kidding!" Silvermist exclaimed, shaking her head to flick water off her ears. "Not even the river could cool me down! This is probably the hottest heat wave RiverClan has seen in moons."
Rasping her tongue over her shoulder in a quick lick, she returned her gaze back to Nightsong. "So; what have you done in this pretty weather?"

"Nothing special," Nightsong purred, warmed by the she-cats friendliness. "I've been in the river mostly, black's not a good color to be under the sun." the warrior added in, blinking her glittering blue eyes to continue grooming herself as well. "I guess it's a plus, nice weather and all, but too much heat isn't that great."

Ripplewave slipped into the warriors den and sat down in her nest and sighed, the heat was killing her, though her fur was a pale silver color her dark gray stripes didn't really help matters it only made her hotter, with the heat everyone would stay in their dens, it was to hot to really do anything. She sighed again she wasn't usually anti-social, but since her mate had died she had avoided talking to anyone. Her mate hate been killed by his brother, who had been jealous that she had choosen him as a mate instead of him, and it hadn't been that bad until Darkstorm found out she was expecting Stormhearts kits, and had killed him out of jealously, and had been exiled, and was now known as Dark. Now, the only cat she really ever talked to was Aquapaw, since he was her son.
