A small, pure white she-cat emerged from her den. Ears pricked, she paused, scenting the air for any surrounding cats. Snowstar was the leader of ThunderClan, and at a very young age as well. Her bright blue eyes flashed as she proudly lifted her chin up, and took a seat in the middle of the clearing, enjoying the peace of her camp. She wrapped her tail around her paws neatly, and surveyed the fresh-kill pile. Snowstar had already had her fill earlier on in the day, so she wasn't hungry. But the pile was well stocked, thanks to the amazing weather of greenleaf.

Leopardfang reapeared from a forest with one last mouse dangling from her jaws by the tail. Her pelt glimmered gold in the bright sunlight of Greenleaf and her muscles stretched as she walked. She set the mouse down by her leader and crouched to eat it.

"Hello Leopardfang," Snowstar purred a greeting to her deputy. She white she-cat gazed at her most trusted cat in the clan. She knew she could count on Leopardfang to tell her her opinion, and help her when things were hard. "The huntings been good recently, hasn't it" the young leader started light conversation, a friendly gleam in her eye.

Leopardfang gulped down the last of her mouse and licked her lips as she stood up. "Mm, yes it has.", she purred in reply to her leader. She swept the remains of the bones into a little pile at her paws. Not knowing what else to say, she started licking her back with strong, steady strokes.

Snowstar turned silent again, her paw twitching to itself as she rasped a tongue over her soft, white chest. She briefly wondered how the other clans were doing as well. Prey must be rich for them too. Hopefully it just didn't mean an unnecessary attack to any other clan. ThunderClan were peaceful right now, and that didn't need to change. "Amberpaw is without a mentor at the moment," Snowstar started, gazing over at the deputy. "Would you like to be her mentor? I was thinking of holding a meeting soon."

In the apprentice's den, Amberpaw was dozing silently. She had gone on patrol late last night to the RiverClan border, which included a little swimming lesson. Swimming was not her forte. The small cat didn't understand that swimming was running in water. Oh well, she'd try again some other day. But the dreams of reliving that moment were a little scary, with her mind turning it into a horror movie.
She felt herself running on and on, away from the darkness. It began as a game, but turned into something serious. She ended at a cliff, skidding to a stop, and the only way was into the rushing current of the water. She jumped, landing in the unforgiving water that seemed to swallow her up...
Amberpaw woke with a start and realized her fur was damp with sweat and that she'd torn a few holes in her nest. She shook her head quickly to get her mind off of it. It was just a dream. Yawning lightly, she stood, shook her short fur, and slowly moved out into the clearing. She closed her eyes at the sun, stretching out her tired limbs. She took a seat and began to groom her fur, quietly listening to her leader and deputy. What were they whispering about? Patrols? Probably, she thought.

Snowstar turned to take in Amberpaw. "Just who I wanted to see," she mewed to her, flicking her tail in motion for the apprentice to join them. Her blue eyes took in the small, pretty apprentice. She liked the young she-cat. Shaking her pelt, the young leader continued. "How would you like it if I appointed your mentor soon?"

"Just who I wanted to see,"
Amberpaw froze, hearing the words being pointed at her. Her ears flicked and she rose her gaze to Snowstar's. She smiled gleefully, almost bouncing like a rabbit over to the leader. She blinked, looking up at her. "Yes, Snowstar?" she meowed.
"How would you like it if I appointed your mentor soon?"
"Like it? I'd love it!" she purred, spinning quickly in a circle once before stopping, her tail still flicking with excitement. Being a third wheel with another warrior and apprentice was a little lonesome for the apprentice, and when she couldn't even make those trips, it was only chores, chores, chores. Now she could really train! She couldn't stop smiling.

"Sounds good," Snowstar purred, nudging the apprentice's cheek with her muzzle. "I'll call the announcement now. I'm sure Oakpelt will want to see it." she mentioned the medicine cat, and bounded over to the Highrock, springing up with her neat, compact body.
(ill make a thread in the Highrock)
