a few suggestions

Alright, well here it goes. I know a few things about sites, coding, and graphics. I've been role-playing and doing graphics for years. Anyway, here's what I have to say:

1) The Background.
Alright, well the moving background is a baaaad idea. It slows down a lot of people's computers, laptops, and phones. It often runs new members off. Also, the light blue color of the the forum doesn't work very well. It kinda of clashes a little bit.

2) The Banner.
Well, what I don't understand is, why does the advertisement banner look so much better than the main banner? Anyway, The banner is...sketchy. If you know what I mean. It'll run off new members because it doesn't look "sophisticated" or so you could say.

3)Having scrolling and connected side boxes is often a big plus with how the forum looks, it makes the forum look neater. And, well...better.

I'm sure you guys are already working on most of these...suggestions. As for the skin, you could always find a graphics site that makes pre-made skins. That would probably solve all your problems, except the banner.

1&2; For the moving background, I've taken this into mind and I agree - it doesn't look as good, at all. I'm more than likely going to change the default background to something better.

3; Right now, we are in the process of fixing up. That is on my to do list right there.

I like the side tables how they are, just because some people (like me) are too lazy and if they are scrolling ones i don't even bother look at them. plus we can always choose different skins for default.

Yes the ideas are good the moving back ground gives me a headache, and the banner, I like the advertisement one better.

Well, I think it's official. We changed the default skin and while to some people it would be nice to have a moving/scrolling side bar, the one we have isn't bad at all and does not hurt anything.

I know it's probably a little intense having the new guy come in here and just start telling you guys what to do, but I thought I'd throw my little bit of knowledge in on it.

Also, about the SBs, They wouldn't have to be scrolling, there are many different things you could do with them.

About the lazy Admin remark, that is why I suggest a Pre-made skin. Yes, that means only having one skin, but hey. It's just a suggestion.

I don't look at it as telling us what to do. I see it more as friendly advice, and we thank you for that, really. For the side bars, I think Snow and I will keep it like it is. If we come across something better that we both agree on, then we will use it. Right now, we don't have a problem with the side bars.

I actually like the idea of getting new boxes? Or at the very LEAST making them looking fancier and prettier and all those other nice adjectives. I'm no expert myself in coding; the most I can do is copy and paste because my attention span is horrible.

That's what I like about a single skin for each site. They can always change and lure people in AND they don't clash with member colors. Which is what happens with a lot of skins and text colors.

Thank you for the suggestions! Don't feel like you're telling us what to do, it's perfectly alright! Currently, we've invented our own little graphics team {including me} and we will be working on the site very soon. I'm taking some time to learn the basic ways of coding to make the site it's full, beautiful potential. We have a few other skins, two of which I've made {Starry Night, which needs a background improvement, and Emerald Clouds, which everyone seems content with.} and I'm starting to get the hang of creating graphics. But a beautiful site doesn't seem to happen overnight--we all have to work on it, and we will. We just need people like you for feedback and suggestions! C":

I have one that doesn't involve formating (BTW, this is Leopardfang/Shadowstalker) but mabe we should put a map of the territories from the books so everyone understands where they are?

I was meaning to ask Galestar if we could have a section that featured maps, territory descriptions, and other warrior cat information we may need, but I've been busy making a mock website to learn coding...thanks for the suggestion!

I believe we should take the suggestions that we are unsure about and make a poll and see if our members like them or not. Besides, they are the ones that joined. So, we'll let the whole site decide.

For the maps and territories, we definitely could word on that.
